Why would he come back? We’d offer him half his wages and he loves Man U.

I bet he loves us more, but loves their money even more.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Watching the game he wasn't the biggest problem by far. Shaw (who's been alright) was terrible. Salah had him in his pocket all day.

I don't think any of them were happy today.

For us I thought he was a great tackler , but rubbish going forward.
Always thought it was a strange move for him to go to a big club, as their wing backs do little defending/tackling and it’s all about overlapping and brilliant crossing.
Add to that he was a converted winger, so I’d think if he was going to be good going forward, he already would be.
Because of this I thought he would end up moving into the middle, would be great with a taller center back, he’d be a great man marker.
But him and the Man Utd team have completely lost their way.

Unfortunately he has terrible management and coaching .. you look at the hundreds on millions spent on that squad that are light years away from winning anything and never will with OGS at the helm. Which is fantastic in my books ..

I don't think the coaching he's getting at United is up to much either as he looks all over the shop defensively now.

Harder to find your place in a top team, especially with their current haphazard management style. I can't imagine there were many smiles coming from anyone at Man Utd today.

They basically don't know what tactics they're supposed to follow. Pulis would have done a better job.

In a nutshell we ripped them off. Nobody would pay more than £15 million for him today. Used to be a good tackler but is frequently out of position at United. He had a nightmare today. If United get a new manager like Conte who plays a 3-4-3 system, his career at could be over.

I don’t remember him smiling that much when he played for us either.

It’s not often we have been on the right side of big money transfers. He was a brilliant tackler one on one for us. Positionally it was much easier playing for us as he wasn’t expected to bomb forward. We just sat back and kept the shape. I don’t think he is a bad player but I also don’t think he is worth anywhere near 50 mil.

At the time I was surprised to see Man U pony up £50m for a rookie (1 season) defender. It makes more sense when considering they have to keep up in the transfer market with their neighbours.
Ole will most likely be gone by Xmas, I think PV could get AWB back to form, a cheeky £10m bid should do it

Cannot think of any Man Utd purchase, that has been worth the transfer fee, since Fergie left. They just get ripped off for being, who they are.
