Your memory is correct. We have won only 4 of our last 15 home league games against Newcastle. 3 draws and 8 defeats. But there was that 5-1 win about 5 years ago - I still remember a couple of their supporters talking of their embarrassment as we left the ground.

Is Willo using this hol account?

The game has a load of extra context with the takeover and Bruce gone.

But that aside its a really interesting one, it will be the first time all season we've not played either a top, or inform team.

If we can dominate Leicester, Arsenal, Brighton, Spurs, and even look decent against Liverpool, we should murder this lot!

Setting myself up for a fall here, but with the way we are playing and the way they are, I cant see anything but a dominant display and 3 points.

If you're suggesting that I looked up the records to get the information, then you're absolutely correct. Well done.

I remember the game against Newcastle, 2013/14 season. The weather was wet and very windy, Kayla the eagle was blown over the roof of the Holmesdale. As for the game, we lost 3-0, via a deflected shot, an own goal and a penalty.

All in all, a horrible day

I remember it well. Horrific weather. And Cabaye absolutely dominated the midfield.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

If we defend a 1 goal lead as we did at Arsenal we all know the outcome.

Instead of bringing on defenders and inviting a barrage, bring on someone who can hold the ball and institute a break-away.

I'm thinking Hughes and definitely not a Luka, Kouyate or Tomkins (but I would have Cahill if he was still with us, currently getting rave reviews with Bournemouth)

On form, we should be at least 3 goals clear after 80 minutes so hopefully the above concerns will not be an issue.

Il go 3-1 to us. They are a poor side and I can’t see the stand in manager getting a chance to change much by Saturday. We should over run them in attack.

3-1 to us.

Yep going for a 3 1 win Saturday, could have done with Bruce hanging around till then but still think will be strong for them if we play as we have in the 3 recent games, but till the 96th minute!!

We should definitely win this one and I hope we have at least a two goal margin before any added time.

I don't think my ticker will take another last second goal by the opposition spoiling my day.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I think many are forgetting Newcastle are just as bad at scoring set pieces (worse) than we are at conceding them.
2 0 Palace.
3 0 even if our boys are in the mood for taking recent disappointments out on someone.

Least Staveley will get to spend the weekend at home in the South East. Haha, The delusional Geordies actually believe she is going to relocate to Durham!

No chance of us being 2-1 up with 5 minutes to go that we will be "battening down the hatches" this time. 1 or 2-0 is my prediction. COYP !!
