I remember looking into it at the Euros, he and Rice were less influential in our team than Veratti and Jorginio, Pogba and Kante, Tony Kroos and Ginter were. Based on the number of times they get the ball.

I think that's probably fair, but then you've named a few of the best midfielders of the last 5-10years - they are all much older and more experienced than Rice, so I think it's a tough barometer.

Stick Rice with someone who does that job and they will work perfectly.

Maybe he will, maybe he wont.

I guess all I'm saying is its about the right pairings. Pogba looked immense for France, but that's because of who he was playing with.

Stick Rice with someone who does that job and they will work perfectly.

This isn't the way most teams play in the PL.

England should trust in what they're good at - fast pacy non-stop football, instead of trying to play the same as a lot of other national sides, who are better at that sort of game anyway.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.
