Thanks for the perspective. Edited by Forest Hillbilly (12 Oct 2021 5.09pm) I agree to some extent. Generally, I don't like it when people use it as an excuse to claim they are a victim. The "we can't do this because we're xyz, so the government needs to do more for us". Listing people that are successful from the same background during more difficult times takes away that excuse. It almost says to "look they did it, there's no reason you can't". They do similar things in Northern, Welsh, Scottish schools and similar things with dyslexia. If you encounter a challenge you simply need to work harder to overcome it. Moaning won't get you anywhere

So sick of this. We live in the most liberal country in the world and everywhere you look it’s anti racism/pro black, pro LGBT, pro woman rights. It’s driving the average man who just wants to read normal news to insanity

I'm not bothered about this as others have said this has been done many times before by all sorts of artists, in a way its a tribute to the Tube map that it is so iconic that people want to do this. I think the OP was just trawling for some comments, fair enough if they bit. I did have a look at the names most I don't recognise perhaps that is because I am not familiar with black history or perhaps these people were simply not important outside of black history for the obvious reasons. I noticed that they have raised a statue to a black woman in Wales because she became a headmistress? Okay but not exactly MLK or Gandhi. I was at the Summer Exhibition at the RA someone had re-imagined the Last Supper again been done many times this one was of dead pop stars with John Lennon as Christ, quite witty but not original. Perhaps someone should do a Tube map of Mayor Khan's London with stations such as: Stabbin and Robbin etc. Edited by Badger11 (13 Oct 2021 8.29am)

This is an interesting article, I admit to knowing nothing about him. Some rather telling snippets about the slave trade

Too soon I guess for Michael Adebowale and Michael Adebolajo to be on there - give it time though.
