i know of several people who didn't renew because they weren't enjoying the football any more and decided to do other things at the weekend.

I wouldn't have renewed if Hodgson was still in charge. It was becoming a chore watching his brand of negative football. Although I did renew, I'm sort of glad that many haven't. Perhaps this will show Parish and co that the fans can't be taken for granted as they have been for the last few years.

A few reasons: - you always used to be able to rely on foreign football tourists wanting to take in a game in London, overseas tourists are currently in short supply - Royball was utterly turgid - the previous 12 months of watching that on tv already made up peoples minds not to renew season tickets (of which sales are down by about 2k to 16,300) -Those couple of thousand that didn't renew season tickets are not going to pay £48 - £58 for match by match ticketing -Plus match by match ticketing requires you to be a member (they really should drop this when we have thousands of empty seats each home game) -food and drink in the ground is unreliable at best -non league football is vastly better priced -lets be honest, the ground isn't great -new stadiums at Wimbledon and Brentford, and league football at Sutton

As you get older, the going with your mates thing disappears, and I can take it or leave it, especially as its on motd later, and even streams. I might come back when the new stand is built, and we are a top 4 team under Pat and winning things, and obviously for a big game, like a relegation end of season match-or top 4 qualifier!

No need for a new stand now then, if they can’t fill the existing one after Covid, the appetite for spending millions on a new one will have diminished.

Four seasons of that style of football not only put me and my kids off but also most of my mates that were ST holders as well. Pre Hodgson 11 of us had ST's post Hodgson that's now down to 3. Went to the Spurs and Brighton games tho and was in the Arthur...not the same as being in the Upper (view), bar and toilets are a nightmare in AW (i'd forgotten how s*** they are and the posts) but thoroughly enjoyed those games as we were on the front foot. Don't regret giving up the ST's yet and at least we have the option at the moment to get tickets.

Unfortunately we need to replace the main wooden stand sooner or later it will be condemned as a fire hazard, that and we don't comply with regulations for wheelchairs. The ground needs a refurb so we might as well increase capacity at the same time. However I suspect that the board is no longer in a rush to do this.

Customers are easy to lose and hard to gain. Dreadful performances at home leading up to and during lockdown. Others just finding new things to do with their Saturday. Going to football matches is habitual for most, and expensive. Lockdown broke that habit. A few more positive performances and fans will want to come back and see the new players. This sums it up for me ^^^ with the emphasis being on some awful football to watch for the previous 18 months and the price increase for tickets / Season tickets. Due to COVID a lot of supporters were out of the habit of going to games and it’s going to take time (even with the entertaining football being played under PV) for people to return.

I’ve been in the AW for a couple of games. Great atmosphere but did not bother trying to get a drink. Building the new stand would provide an upgrade on facilities that people want. Some of the other issues will come back gradually as restrictions lighten. Football is much better but need to reconsider ticketing arrangements. I get they don’t want thousands of away fans sneaking in but we must be able to improve the system.

I went to the Brighton game like i do every season. 200 for flights to Gatwick
