PV has got to pick the best players, in the best 11, and Rak-Sakyi has to be on the bench

Not only that, but PV and the newbies all need to be aware of just what Brigh7-0n means to us.

They're no pushover for sure. Won 4 games out of 5 and sit 3rd in the league.

Hope PV starts Edouard in place of Benteke tomorrow week.

Think you should look at who they have played. Today it appears they had all big decisions in their favour.
On another note, anyone else think that, this season refs have been carte Blanche to favour big teams. I know Brighton don’t fall into that category but Leicester have a habit of disrupting the too 4, so decisions are going against them. Unfortunately media will not take this up and will vehemently deny it but, mark my words, these awful decisions will continue all season

In an interview earlier in season, Guehi told Anderson he could not pick Webster for his fantasy team, as he played for Brighton. Just tell Eduardo we are playing Rangers

I too believe letting the ref interpret things more just means give big teams all the decisions - with less questioning as more can just be ignored.
Basically every foul against us v Liverpool was in the 'let play carry on' category. It wasn't long before Liverpool were piling into us, rugby style, whereas if we touched them a foul. The usual, so usual we just expect it. A Liverpool mate said we should have had a penalty - even two. I replied that it was exactly as expected. Even the players seemed to know. No point in complaining in the end.

Yep, OK, I agree that on paper their matches have looked easier. We've certainly played the tougher games so far. Nevertheless their tails will be up at Selhurst.

As for the refs, there have certainly been some strange decisions. But there's always
an element of roundabouts and swings I think.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Brighton looked a good side in the making last season and it's no surprise to me that they've made a decent start. It'll be a very difficult game.

Next Monday, the 27th when we play Brighton, it will be exactly 10 years to the day we became the first away team to beat Brighton at the Amex. A result that’s in Brighton’s history book for ever.

I was at the game and walking on air for the rest of the week. I’ll take another 3-1 win with Wilf scoring (again) and cupping his hand to his ear in front of the Brighton fans, as we know they just love him.

Hope we give them a good hiding but its not going to be an easy game for us.

They have made a decent start and Potter does seem to have them winning matches that last season they might have struggled in.

Yes, they have probably had an easier start than us and may be in a slightly false position but no games are easy in the PL.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Brighton have had one tough game at home to Everton so far and got well beat. They fluked the win against Brentford who should have taken a few of the chances they created.

Then today VAR came into play and they got an undeserved win. They are riding their luck atm. Under the floodlights at Selhurst Park I’m hoping their luck runs out.

Their start has been against slightly different opposition than ours. The team is certainly improving & we have picked up better than expected results against Wet Spam & Spuz.
Sounds like the weed got lucky today. They lost at home to the only other decent side they have played.
A decent home win over them after the dreary draws of the last 2 years is due hopefully.
However, having bought them all, it’s surely time to start Edouard, Olise & Hughes, isn’t it ??

Don't panic... It takes a good 12-15 games for the table to sort itself out. We've been here before with them... They shoot out in front but we always reign them in and finish above them..
In something like the last 32 seasons they have only finished above us once... And even then we beat them in the playoffs and got promoted!!

I'll give them their due they are doing what they should be and beating the teams around them but they've had a pretty easy start. They were outclassed by Everton but the Leicester result is a good one

When you compare us playing Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and West Ham to them playing Burnley, Watford, Brentford and Leicester it's no surprise they are above us.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!
