I know that your comment was tongue in cheek (again) but the reason that Aussies drink small measures of beer is because it warms up too quickly and they would rather have two small measures of cold beer rather than one large one where the second half is warm

Have to say that on a hot day I prefer small bottles straight from the fridge in a glass from the freezer.

Most likely. I remember a couple of lads in our group used to drink it. Thought it was hip or something. Foul taste. Now, light and bitter on the other hand.......

There was an ad campaign in the 80s to make Mild popular among young people, it wasn’t strong and was relatively cheaper. Paradoxically two things which young people in the 80s didn’t want.
Light & Bitter was a good drink if the barman was on the firm when you’d get nearly a full pint with your light ale. The unfortunately named Black and Tan was another option.

Bring back the feudal system next.
