Luka in for Kouyate.
Also Liverpool tend to play a high line so it would be good to see someone run in behind, and that person isn't Beneteke, so I'd be tempted with Edouard.

Kouyate over McArthur, Interesting.

That's only for that game two DF, i would bank on luka and Kouyate getting a yellow, McArthur definitely back for next game

Klopp has the habit of getting players sent off because he constantly leaves his seat and box and is in the officials face. We might have to be physical and that will give the smillie one plenty to moan about. I would love to see Wilf give Trent a similar roasting as Royal got Saturday. Same team to start with Eddie in for CB.

I’d have thought the only thing that might change is Luka for Kouyate

Edouard certainly has the game to hold the ball up - don't think that should be a consideration really. He's a unit.

Luka for Kouyate and Edouard for Tekkers would be my only changes with Wilf and Ayew key in engaging TAA and Robertson.

Given the Liverpool high line I don't see this is the match for Tekkers - we want pace and someone who can run in behind - not simply keep van Dijk occupied - something that is probably a lost cause anyway

The best hope is to engage fully in midfield and not allow them to dominate there as that allows their wingbacks to create an effective front 5. If Gallagher, Mc and Luka can win enough ball high enough up the field that will open up the high line. That is where the battle will be won or lost.

It's getting boring mate. PV spent ages praising him after Spurs.

Exactly the same team as Spurs, except Luka for Kouyate.

This is arguably our best team but I very much doubt it will be our start In Liverpool.

Eduoard in for Benteke - Van Dijk is so good in the air and can match Benteke physically so i don't think it will be easy for Benteke to hold the ball up.
As others have said Eduoard can probably beat Van Dijk in a foot race and is in goal scoring form.
50/50 for me who plays in defensive midfield role. Check or Luka. Both have strength and weaknesses. Luka definitely a better passer but i think Check is better tackler and far less likely to pick up a card early and then run the risk of a second one as the game goes on.

No, you are the one with Benteke's rose tinted glasses, of course PV is going to praise him, he isn't going to slag him off, but the bottom line is he is rubbish as proven by his performances in the last four seasons, my sincere wish is that in January we get some money back for the wasted 60m+ he has stolen from us.

Rubbish. He wasn’t asked about Benteke or put on the spot. He made a point of praising his contribution. As Roy has done. As pretty much anyone who’s worked with him did.

16 goal in four seasons, 6m a year, 1.5m a goal, fantastic isn't it. undoubtedly with Sakho the worst ever signings, money wise, and Glenn Murray twice the player of CB, given away, Pardew has a lot to answer for.
