It'll fund a top up for the NHS too after the backlog caused by Covid. People have been crying out for improvements to the way elderly folk are dealt with and this is the first time in decades that a government has tackled it with vigour. The government have had an unprecedented epidemic to cope with and, in the circumstances, have handled it as well as anyone could IMO. As Boris said yesterday, "A global epidemic wasn't in our manifesto either".
