You need someone to explain why it is awful that you are indifferent to the unnecessary suffering of living creatures for your own personal greed?

Being a carnivore doesn't mean you have to encourage abuse.

Where did i say i ENCOURAGED abuse?

Please feel free to explain to me why im indifferent & need to change my ways. I havent for the last 65yrs, why am i going to start now?

What is there to be proud of in enjoying eating meat? Others enjoy eating other things - do you think they're proud as well?

I have no idea, have YOU asked them?

These videos 1) are in the US, although that is an assumption based on their accents .. 2) only have the video makers word that this is going into Pigs Feed. It could be a trash Processing site for all we know, and not feed anything.

Pig Farming in England has gone through somewhat of an overhaul in the last few years, and while still not perfect. Buy British, Red Tractor approved and you should not be supplying anyone practising this.

I can't speak for the authenticity of the original video, however aren't you just a little bit concerned at the possibility of the animals you eat being fed plastic? I eat meat and can't imagine stopping, however I understand that a well-reared animal that was fed the right food will provide more nutrients and taste, as a minimum. That's before we get into anything about rearing animals ethically.

You're indifferent because you said you don't care, obviously.

I haven't said you need to change anything, I just think it's a pretty despicable point of view.

You make a couple of good points there FS, in the main, i agree. A corn fed chicken(yellow skin) tastes far better than a mass produced one(white skin), trouble is, supermarkets chose en masse the factory reared ones as they appeal to the British housewife(their target audience).

By choice, corn fed for me, BUT, if in hurry/cant source i'll take factory one, not bothered what or where its fed/raised.

I asked whether YOU THINK they're proud of what they eat. For what it's worth, I don't think they are.

But as you must have realised, what I was trying to get at is the question - which, not surprisingly, you have declined to engage with - of why YOU are PROUD of enjoying meat.

Generally, if someone says 'I think' they're offering an opinion, yes

Right, i enjoy meat in all ways, i am what people would/used to describe as a 'meat n 2 veg' person(Geordie family upbringing). I love my meat dishes & proud that i havent pandered to the constant barrage of grass eating snowflakes who keep reminding me day in, day out, how heinous it is to, not only eat meat, but, enjoy doing so.

I also replied, I have no idea, to your 1st Q?

He's 'proud' because he's a big tough guy, no one's gonna tell him what to eat or do even if it's utterly disgusting, yeah! Why should anyone change in 65 years with all of the information, research and education staring them in the face? That'll be like giving in, admitting defeat, admitting they were wrong and big tough guys never do that! I wonder what he thinks of electric vehicles, climate change and actually contributing to society rather than simply taking what he likes from it?
