it's always some rinky-dinky goofy baddie with strange dress-sense and questionable mental health.

He had an argument with Vesper Lynd when he checked into the hotel before the poker game. Why checking in as James Bond. He’s so good at staying alive. Instead of a bullet to the head he gets strapped to the floor with a laser moving closer to his balls. So what if he knows the plans? The Bourne films made Bond change.

Robert Maxwell would have made an excellent Bond villain, esp when he wore a black crew neck sweater, and John Magnier who owns the Ballydoyle racing operation (which has dominated Sheikh Mohamed's Godolphin set up - he's the guy who dug dirt on Sir Alex Ferguson when he tried to keep the rights to a horse they shared - SAF backed down straight away) apparently lives under a volcano, wears a monacle, is never seen without a white pussycat on his lap and is constantly heard muttering under his breath "world domination, Mr Bond" to which an imaginary Bond can be heard answering back 'but it would be your world Magnier".

It has to be Xenia Onatopp played by Famke Janssen in Goldeneye. What a character she was. Another good villain was the sophisticated Michael Lonsdale as Hugo Drax in Moonraker.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

I think Rosa Klebb outdoes your one, good call on Drax though, underrated actor Michael Lonsdale, he was great as chief of police in the Odessa File too.

Austin Powers movie very funny scene where Dr Evil refuses to just shoot AP his son says c'mon dad I 'll get my gun it'll be fun, he wasn't having it. AP has to be killed in some complicated way whilst no one is watching allowing him to escape. Back to Bond do you notice how the villain has no regard for human life and kills minor characters on a whim and with no fuss, yet when it comes to Bond...

Blofeld has to be the best Best villain Hasn't he?, with Donald Plesance topping that particular list After his story ran its course, the 101 meglamaniacs come in. none of them really coming close. liked Sean Bean, but Karl Stromberg is the standout - Blofeld under any other name. Since Blofeld, though it became much more about the quirky henchmen, of which Jaws is the ruler of them all, but Oddjob, Baron Samedi, Nick Nack and OnnaTop were all better than the Main Villain.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
