I have a b'stard wasp nest up there. I did look for the nest earlier in the year (when they are less active in colder months), but didn't see anything obvious.

I'm a bit too scared to go up the ladder now, in case a massive swarm of wasps flies down into the house, else a giant mutant wasp head appears above me, pincers ready to cut my head off.

Think I used to have some cardboard boxes filled with CD's, DVD's and some old photo's. All redundant in todays modern age.

I had a wasps nest in the roof, a passing over eager pest control bloke spotted it, and told me about it, i said i know, but thanks. He said he will get rid of it for a price, i said its ok, its been there all summer and its september now, they will die off soon.He said its your public duty to get rid of it now, they might go on and sting a passer by! I said- hopefully they sting the person who didn"t call you out last year when they had them in there loft!

did he offer to put back a few tiles on the roof & tarmac the drive '' at a good cash price '' while he was there?

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

I've just had a look on ebay and all I can say ASCPFC, is that you did well to get £180 for yours.

It's the games that can be rare as hens teeth not the consul.
Some only had a few 1000 copies. Google rare spectrum games. I hope you find a nice weekend away in amongst them.

A friend of mine (J) moved from Dulwich to East Sussex a few years ago. There was much wrangling between J and the person who was selling her the East Sussex house.
When J eventually moved into the house, the previous owner had left many outstanding issues, such as a border dispute with the neighbour and switching off a water pump in the cellar which had subsequently flooded.
Whilst putting het items in-situ, she found a load of junk in left the loft, some of which turned out to be "extreme pronography".
As discussions were still ongoing with the (former ) seller, J informed her that if she didn't settle all the unresolved matters, she was going to turn the contents of the loft over to the police.

Jobs a good 'un

And no,...i never got to see any of the material, and a good job too.

I had over 200 games with it, so 180 wasn't great. It's actually unbelievable what programmers got out of 48k. My latest computer has 32gb RAM but doesn't seem a gazillion times better. No way can I do the maths. I basically only play Football Manager as Palace. With 32gigs that's madness really.
I miss Spectrums and Commodores, I can say the retrocade are cool, if you get the right one. Plenty of poor copies around.
Try the Spectrum, I bet it works. You basically only need the Aerial connecter and the dual connector to the tape deck. You'll tune it to AV on the TV. Load "" loads the games.

I might just do that ASCPFC. I don't think I've got any collectable games though.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

There's a way to download them and then load them on to the spectrum. You would probably have to look it up. My mate was doing it with a snazzy 128k Spectrum (the toaster). Has a built in tape deck. Ultimately, the emulators on the PC are easier but just not as fun as the real thing. The easiest just run on your browser, others run on DOS.
