He was on £133 million a year and was bankrupting his team. A year ago he wanted to leave, now he doesn't. Is all about only Money to Messi? Spanish law states any contact has to be 50% or more of the last so the minimum he'd be allowed to resign for it's half which is what I believe he had agreed to do.

Messi..... an amazing player who lacked ambition. Fearful of failure methinks. Spent much of his career visiting Granada or celta vigo to play against donkeys. Ronaldo will be the better manager...ten years from now. Gone to psg ? Facing more donkeys at Nantes & Bordeaux. Messi hiding behind a glory squad of teammates. No player is bigger than the club but no president would have sanctioned his sale, it would have been the end of them. Their hands were tied and messi was well aware. He had more power than anyone at the club.

Football is a team sport. The brilliant Messi is the reason the other 10 players at Barcelona all underperformed. Barca will be better without him. Psg will still not win the champions league
