Really don't you mean he took credit for the NHS delivery of vaccines. 'Six EU states have now fully inoculated a larger share of their total populations with a coronavirus vaccine than the UK, after the bloc’s vaccine roll-out has took off while Britain’s impressive early jab rate has slumped.' As for brexit, even chief tory brexiteer Steve Baker admits it is a 'fiasco'. To be fair to boris, he has made some of his friends from Eton and outside very wealthy people, ppe contracts attached to any business they already owned, such as his lady friend with a dog food company-turned from "dog food is us," to "dog food and ppe is us"! This proves boris is a loyal serpant and will look after his inner Eton circle, whats not to like?

As for brexit, even chief tory brexiteer Steve Baker admits it is a 'fiasco'. Blame the public for that, the vaccine is available for everybody who is eligible. I have seen the numbers slump first hand mainly amongst the younger generation. Yesterday we had about 200 appointments and around 150 walk ins (no appointments). Walk ins slow the process down because of the extra paperwork I don't understand why people can't make an appointment I guess they wake up and think Hmmm today's a nice day to get the jab. As we do both my job was to filter the walk ins around the appointments as people get fed up if they have been waiting having booked and if they haven't booked they wont hang around too long. When things slowed down late in the day this young woman walked straight in and started moaning how long do I have to wait. Me "Madam you have to register first there is no queue for that and then see the queue to be vaccinated? Her "what queue" Me "precisely you'll be done immediately Her whine "Do I have to wait 15 minutes" Me thinking "I should tell the nurse I will stab err I mean jab this one"

The fact you said eu states also answers why brexit was the correct move.

I am only surprised Johnson has not taken credit for Team GB, or Root's century.

I can't see him budging for now, but at the same time don't really think he's ever had much love for the position; it was more just something he always expected would happen. Who would people want to replace him with?

Who would people want to replace him with? Ricchi.- if we have to have them in! As I stated before, the chancellor is worth £2 billion, he isn"t in it for the money, (although i heard he did well on the ppe handout), but if boris is chucking it around, why shouldn"t he! He is in it for the glory, and might just decide he wants to go down as a great pm, rather than a court jester!

Give it to Priti Our best prime ministers have always been divisive and I would very much like something resembling a proper Tory in charge. Boris got Brexit done, whilst far from perfect that in itself is pretty remarkable everything else has been a mess.
The mountains are calling & I must go. |

It's a strange time in that I'm not sure there are many stand outs for being capable of being a competent leader of 'any' of the main parties. Edited by BlueJay (09 Aug 2021 1.48am)

Spain is the only major nation that's caught up. Spain is still under social distancing rules too, which doesn't make sense if they are fully vaccinated. Other countries include the likes of Malta. Labour really need to come up with some ideas that work if they want to oust him.

A monthly survey that measures the views of Conservative Party members revealed that Boris Johnson plummeted 36 points to a net positive rating of just 3%.Only Robert Jenrick, Amanda Milling, and Gavin Williamson are below him.
