There wasn’t much video around back then. There might be some Super-8 footage. Or possibly an engraving. Looking back there were a lot of people who looked like Marty Feldman by the time the driver pulled over.

I was a bit late leaving for Cork last Bank Holiday Weekend. A three hour journey ended up well over 5 hours. I was dieing for a piss when I was five minutes from home, but it never seemed like there was the right time to stop. 5 hours after being desperate, I was nearly passing out when I eventually ran into a cafe and did it. It took me about ten minutes to finish.

Big wide neck bottle (Oasis are great,) kept in the car just in case. As long as the traffic is stationary fairly easy to use. I recall a bloke down our pub recounting how he used a Pringles tube to take a leak in and left it in the front passager footwell. It was not watertight and after a couple of days his car which was a company one reeked of stale wee.

A bit boasty there, OE. Not at all, more I would say practical as spillage is to be avoided and conditions could be cramped....

A large sealable Tupperware beaker (dark blue) while u wear a rain poncho..... unbeatable. After doing the business, you can surreptitiously empty it anywhere without most people noticing. If u used it at a busy train platform, most feckers wouldn't even notice as they read their copy of the standard. And if u did empty it at the terrace of a vegetarian restaurant ? Most people would just think that angry pink-haired Karen the chef had just strained her vegetables.

Of course some of us are old enough to remember the terracing at both ends of the ground when on a packed day some gents would simply move to the back of the terrace to let out those pre match pints or the more reckless would simply turn there back on the game and go in situ. Mind you the actual bogs then hardly warranted a trip, being of the rancid open trough variety.
