Absolutely disagree. Especially if all the other teams get to be fully fit all season too.

We are on the razorblade's Edge between hope/excitement and a total implosion.

I think you’re getting massively carried away based on the results of a few friendlies. Both of our full back positions are suspect and if Benteke was to suffer an injury or a loss of form we will be relying on Zaha to score some goals because Ayew and Mateta aren’t likely to get any. If Armstrong and Nelson do come in that will definitely help but I think we will have a better idea of where we stand squad wise come 5pm next Saturday.

I think we are building a squad with potential, particularly if we add Adam Armstrong and Reiss Nelson. I think top 10 should be our goal but realistically it will take time to gel and I'd settle for 11-15th so long as we stay well clear of the relegation battle and play some decent football. Then hopefully with some of the academy prospects coming through next year, we can push on into the top 10 and beyond.

Could not agree more, we have new unproven PL players and an Inexperienced PL manager, our risk of relegation is the same as the teams coming up this year, we need at least one more defensive player and a proven striker which we have not had for sometime. 17th this year will be success!

I think we are more likely to finish around 10th-12th and I think that would be a successful season for PV in his first season as a Prem manager.

Anything outside the drop zone would be welcome, around the 14/12 mark with positive signs of progress would be nice. If by some stroke of luck PV et al hit the ground running, we have a great season AFC will be hiking Arteta out the door ..

On the subject of this thread, is there any news of Eze's recovery progress?

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

That's a month old. He has since been seen on the club website in the 'Behind the scenes on the media day' video where he was posing without any crutches or sticks. Apparently, he is progressing quicker than was originally thought, how much quicker, I don't know.

Alex Witsel did the same injury at the start of January and played at the Euros. It was deemed a miracle recovery, but it was only 5 months. Benteke did it in 2014 and got back in 5 months.

The same for Eze would be the start of November.... it's doable. We only have 11 games before 20th November. Hopefully he heals more like Zaha and less like every other player we've recently encountered.

26th January 2010 - Enter Administration
2nd May 2010 - D-Day 1 - Survival at Hillsborough
1st June 2010 - D-Day 2 - Survival at Lloyds
7th June 2010 - CPFC2010 exchange contracts.

Thanks, yes was aware of that but the most recent info I could find. Lack of info suggests return will not be any sooner at this time. Therefore we should not expect to see him match fit until new year anything sooner would be a bonus.
