There's a small restaurant here in old town Alicante, called Templo which specialises in Kobe/Wagyu beef. It aint cheap. Cheapest cut of steak at lunchtime, bout €30 wagyu in evening costs upto €175, if you want Kobe beef, they sell it by the 'gram' by christ its gorgeous. All their steaks are aged. Well worth a visit.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Some darned fine eating establishments given a mention on here! I have been in the fortunate position of being able to devour the delights of some swish restaurants in London and beyond and my word the gastronomic experiences were joys to behold.

Best steak I remember was first holiday abroad , about 35 years ago, Magaluf park sol hotel opposite had a bbq, steak, chips, salad and french bread! The steak on the bbq with the smoke and smell, together with the salad and chips, was a joy to behold, probably wasn"t the actual best steak but tasted great and lingers in my memory!

It's a special piece of meat from one of just 1% of the top farms in the country. It comes with two onion rings, a few triple cooked chips and some bernaise sauce. Would you pay that much for a steak? Seems excessive to me, especially when you factor in a drink and maybe a pud plus the 'voluntary' 12.5% service charge. And this is a pub, obviously a very good one, but a pub nonetheless. All hail the Beefeater! Yesterdays Times?

Yes, it did me, so much that I almost got my jeans on to pop over to the supermarket to get some lettuce and cucumber, only to settle for steak, chips and beans.

Me too, my wife just made a Quiche and salad. I'm going to ask her if she can put some beef in it. P.S. Probably won't be posting for a while. I'll have to rest up a bit after getting out if A&E...
