centre midfield??

It appears that he has added grit and determination to his game whereas in his younger days his game was more about passing and keeping the ball moving.

I have seen him as a playmaker,finding space, always willing to have the ball and rarely giving it away.

Agree with this, I liked the look of him at Derby. Didn't realise he was still so young. If the price is right then this would strengthen our central midfield area.

The idea is growing on me more and more - though this is based on reputation and only vague memories of seeing him play

Think it's fair to believe that we can offer the dream - whether he buys it is another matter of course. I forget which other clubs are said to be in for him but ostensibly if we can attract Guehi Olise and Andersen we should be in with a shot here too.

Relatively nailed minutes too of course which was surely what got Gallagher here.

Just watched some highlights. Seems like a decent player to have in the squad. Not sure he gets in the 11 above what we currently have...but like I say, worth having at a decent price.

May not be an instant selection but if you take ease on the ball as a prerequisite in a PV midfield then I suspect he could work his way in pretty quickly if he is the player I think he is.

This may come from having seen them in a RH side but Schlupp, Luca and Jimmy Mc all feel as if they might be quite an awkward fit in a midfield that was receiving the ball from the back and having to press more and work their way upfield to support the attack - especially if there is only room for one sitting mid.
