there are TWO 31 year olds who play for Everton, so the taxi driver may not be correct, although taxi drivers are usually spot on in my experience.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Its only illegal in the U.K not to say his name no where else

Shouldn't we all be naming him then? Otherwise we'll all face prosecution!

The Attorney General has issued a warning to social media platforms and their users over posts about a Premier League footballer who has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences.

The player, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested at his home last week and released on bail pending further investigations.

Britain's chief legal adviser has warned that such posts could be in contempt of court, a crime that carries a potential prison sentence, and his office reminded social media platforms that it is important they remove information that could prejudice court proceedings.

The Attorney General, Rt Hon Michael Ellis QC MP, said: "Everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and everyone deserves a fair trial.

"A mis-judged tweet or post could have grave repercussions and interfere with a trial. It could mean a trial is delayed or at worst stopped because a fair trial isn’t possible – so I would caution everyone, don’t get in the way of justice being done.

"The Attorney General’s Office will monitor the situation and we will review any contempt of court allegations made to us."

The incident comes one month after Mr Ellis QC launched a campaign called #ThinkBeforeYouPost in an effort to prevent high-profile trials from collapsing due to people misusing social media.

Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season?

All rather absurd when anyone can push another button and learn who it is.

Quite absurd given how easy it is to find a name with a minimum amount of effort on any search engine. If true, it would also explain why they would want one of our recently released players

The other side of this coin is why has it come out?
Who leaked it - the police?
If he is guilty then the proverbial book needs to be thrown as it is despicable but we still live - or are meant to - in a country where you are innocent until proven guilty.
If he is innocent he will be unfairly tarred forever - if he is guilty then he deserves to be!
