It was a foul. There was clear contact (twice) after going past players at pace. Some of you have never played the game if you don’t realise it doesn’t take much to knock you over at speed. Does no one remember Andy Johnson?

The penalty was soft, and the ref should have reacted at the two ball incident just before. To be fair the free kick which led to 1-0 wasn't that clear either. That's football though, and I'm not going to moan about that. England was the better team, which also makes it easier to take. Bad losers are so tiring. Germans are probably the worst moaners in that respect. Its not unusual to hear them moan about their final-loss to England in 66 and to Denmark in 92. My father lives in Germany so Ive heard this tiring talk quite often over the years.
