I watched Raducanu win her match yesterday. She played some wonderful tennis and looked very confident at her first Wimbledon. A very bright personality and so lovely to see how much she enjoyed the occasion. Her post match interview was a delight. Hope she continues to do well, gets good A Level results and stays 'grounded'. She studied at Newstead Wood, (same as Dina Asher Smith,) it is a school for very clever girls. She will get very good results.

Watch if you have the opportunity and/or the inclination. She has a delightful personality, but a tough opponent and only a slim chance of winning.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Not sure what happened. Some kind of panic attack? Yeah, great shame, I thought the same as you. The occasion and hype, coupled with the very long wait to get on court may have been too much for her. Haven't seen any news yet about the actual problem though. Mind you, she faced a tough, experienced opponent.
