The Yanks have pretty much proven to be the worst football club owners. Interested in money only and don't get the game. Hope this is a joke load of bollocks. In comparison to Jordan, Goldberg, Noades, and Bloye? It's a pretty tall task to claim to be the worst owner of Crystal Palace, let alone in football. Edited by jeeagles (20 Jun 2021 8.23am)

According to the Mail, the interested party took one of his previous companies down the pan to the tune of £160m. It doesn’t sound like the sort of person you want running your football club. It's not quite that simple so have a read of [Link] for the full story

I doubt whether anyone outside of the magic circle knows as the current ownership of Palace is hidden as the ultimate holding company is registered in Delaware where one doesn't have to file company information. We do know that there are quite a few minority shareholdings in the club although it isn't known who they are or what shareholdings they own That is good information, is it common knowledge

A guy that specialises in things which are not really there... sounds perfect!!! Imagine the money we could save... we'll start next season with a hologram manager and half the team.

Although I think this club has been hamstrung in recent years by the ownership situation and we need new owners I'm filled with fear on this one. Whenever potential buyers are searching down the back of the sofa for loose change and trying desperately to find friends to lend them a few quid to help them buy a club it never goes well as there is no capital to invest in the club afterwards.

It's at times like this when you have to put your trust in Steve Parish. I do believe he would sell his stake in the club but I don't believe he would sell it to someone that would jeopardise its future financially.

I must say this news, if indeed it is news, does not fill me with enthusiasm. You have to ask yourself: What interest does this flaky American have in making a li'l old football club in SE25 England a successful PL side? Sure, we'd like some of his money, but what does he expect in return? I'd certainly like to know what his motives are. If he's reckoning on a big return on his investment he's in for a shock I suspect.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
