They certainly helped us win WW2, an incredible ally of ours. Although in some films you'd think they won it on their own. They've also thrown their troops into other conflicts around the world, always with the intention of keeping the world safe for you and I. The Soviets killed 4 out of 5 German military deaths. The US mainly focused upon the Japs. Don't get me wrong Geezer, I'm a big US fan but the US public was against entering both WW1 and WW2, it was their elite class who decided they enter it....how they entered WW1 was particularly dodgey.
