Honestly if we ever do go down why not he clearly regrets everything he did to us back then and the players he got when he was manager in the championship damo jedi yala parr rambo ward Murray etc were all from him fantastic signings even the players he's got us as DoF Meyer camerasa meteta Vicente and probably more some never got a chance because they were he's signings and if he can get those leaders and quality signings if we ever go down why not could a hell of a lot worse then that

Freedman is a Palace man through and through, he made a mistake with Bolton. He was a total flop at Bolton and Forest, but without doubt he was class at Palace and assembled a quality side from nowhere and got them playing magnificent football. In football, often certain individuals just seem to fit at certain clubs and Dougie just fits at Palace. However, he doesn't have Premier League experience and has been out of management too long. I think he'd struggle now. I wouldn't be against him working as an assistant manager for a while with a long term view to managing Palace again. No from me (for now).

I think that’s about 4:1 against Dougie being the next manager. A pretty small sample but suggests he wouldn’t be a popular appointment despite his apologies and Steve’s declaration of love. I guess he better stay where he is for the time being. Might be needed on an “interim” basis when we sack Cooper/ Ismael/ Nuno/Dyche/Howe/Lampard or some bloke we’ve never heard of who Steve has been in favour of all along.
