She also does receipes without gluten or dairy always useful if you have a problem with those. Pancakes made with almonds delicious unless you have a nut allergy.

Hiya, Yep, that's me. Remember for a lot of us vegetarians, we didn't suddenly stop enjoying meat. I love a good steak too. I absolutely love it. Chicken, bacon, burgers...you name it. But our moral views or environmental beliefs simply outweigh the love of meat. So for us to have meat-like alternatives is amazing. It's a game-changer and means we can actually turn up to a BBQ expecting more than just a garden salad. Quorn is a god send. Cheers My household are now committed vegans and I agree with the above ( except a lot of Quorn stuff is not vegan). Vegan ice cream is the best ice cream I have ever tasted and recommend people try it. I do not miss meat and feel healthier for it but I appreciate everyone has their own opinions and the right to eat what they want.

I love fish and all types of seafood but don't eat it any more in England. I lived in Newcastle for many years and had easy access to the city centre fish markets as well as the North Sea fish quay and the fish was fresh and superb. We moved from there down to Torbay with Brixham Harbour a short drive away and again the fish was superb. We now live as far from the sea as it's possible to get and the fish counters in the supermarkets are anything but fresh so we've given up on it saving it for overseas holidays

Quorn mince is bloody horrible, OK in spag bol but chile con quorne is not that great no matter how much chile you use to offset the feeling that you're sucking on cardboard, which is what Quorn tends to taste like in my experience. Quorn escalopes aren't bad though, fried to a just golden brown with a few baby potatoes, green beans and a dollop of cranberry sauce as an accompaniment. Yum yum. slice of lemon to garnish, I've come over all Nigella.

I knew once I'd written that it was asking afor remark like that, mind you, I often think when she's squeezing the cream out of an icing piper or loading bananas into a blender she should just admit that it reminds her of a well endowed bloke jizzling on her tits, might as well, sometimes she's suggestive to the point where she's not even suggestive.

I thought the whole point of being vegan or vegetarian is that eating meat products is considered off limits. Why do they want to eat pretend burgers and sausages or steak or anything else that meat lovers enjoy? There are vegan sausage rolls and even vegan pork pies. Why? I saw a recipe for shepherdess pie the other day. Shepherds pie without the meat. Made with quorn I think. The stuff that's basically fermented fungus. Sorry, but I guess I just don't get these eating fads. I enjoyed my roast beef yesterday and will always love a good steak. Ain't nothing gonna change my mind. Just curious that's all. Maybe you could ask the same of meat eaters? They eat pretend meat in the form of sausages and burgers. Not much actual meat in a McD's burger for instance. Plenty of bovine bits, just no muscle. Or at least minimal meat padded out with cereal and/or fat. I think the shape of burgers and bangers are really designed to fit into standard bread sizes. Rolls and sliced bread etc. As for minced meat, wtf are those chewy bits in it?

If someone morally (or otherwise) decides that eating meat isn't for them, they still may have led a life eating sausages, burgers and the like and prefer something that visually resembles them (or may taste like them) but does no or less harm. If someone isn't eating an animal surely that's the essential component to being a veggie. Who cares if they prefer to eat vegetables in a specific shape? It's a distinction without a difference.
