You have complained about U.K. handling of the pandemic but condone people supplying forged test results, how hypocritical of you. Edited by Spiderman (15 May 2021 6.46am)

Regarding the fraud tests I stated I understand not that I agree with it which is why I didn't do it. Two people I know that had done the fraud both had been tested on NHS and showed as clear but you can't use this so why should they then have to pay out £120+ for template and test which is only worth £20 max anyway. What are you on about that is what Thailand did at the beginning which I chose to do I knew it in advance and paid the high flight plus hotel fees also knew full well had to stay in the room for 2 weeks.

I understood that you were talking about Thailand and maybe that was the correct approach. There is no way the PC/HR brigade would have allowed that to happen in the U.K., that was my point

I have been on the vulnerable list due to age and medical history and have been advised not to go outside but I contracted covid a year ago and didn't even notice. I lost my sense of taste for a couple of days but this was before it was known to be a symptom and I just put it down to age. I assume that I caught it from my (much younger) wife who is a nurse and in contact with covid for much of her working day. She had an antibody test last year which was positive so she must have also had covid without realising it

My daughter did a PCR test at Boots in Bromley when she flew here last. She did the test Friday morning and the result arrived on Saturday afternoon - about noon I think. It arrived on her phone (if my memory serves me correctly). Apologies that I may get some of that wrong - but the point is - try Boots because the timescale seems to fit with what you need.

Thanks, I was thinking of them but they don't do it where I'm going. I've ordered a 24 hr turnaround home test. Let's hope it all goes to plan.

My mother died last week of cancer. She was born in the Holmesdale Rd of all places, so you can imagine how Palace we all are. God rest her soul. Anyway, I'm coming over for the funeral which is at the end of the month. The question I have is that I need a PCR test and fit to fly cert before I can come back to Ireland. It has to be within 72hrs of returning (I know ridiculous). I won't have the car, I'm flying. So I was thinking of buying the home testing kit, getting it sent to where I'm staying, registering it there, testing myself and my missus, sending it off and, hopefully, getting the results in the required time frame. Has anyone got any particular providers who are any good - or rubbish that I bed to avoid? They all seem to be around 100 quid - which I can't avoid. Just looking for tips on who might be good or bad. I know there are a few globe trotters on the site so thought I'd ask. Sorry to hear that mate, mine went last week as well of the same thing,I used to think you and I were going through the same thing so strange they both went the same time.
