round where I live, there's been nothing - I have no idea who the candidates are... I don't even remember a polling card arriving. it's like our household has been forgotton, but a quick check on social media shows that many have the same issue. I'm in a pretty strong Tory area - so I guess noone can be bothered to contest it. If I did get The opportunity to Vote, i'd vote for the one who stops closing schools to turn them into Polling Stations.

We have two votes down here: A PCC for which post none of the candidates have canvassed, and from their online 'personal statements' none of them are fit for purpose, and A village referendum on adopting the 'Village Plan' I shall only be exercising my franchise in one poll.

The Hampstead-Hartlepool dichotomy has never been so stark for Labour and the wider left. Simply put, not fit for purpose.

Gotta vote for Niko, he has some great policies: Boris Johnson will be forced to shush. Turn off all power in London once a year and call it Londoff. Introduce stop and serve which will include free school meals. A second eye will be added to the London Eye so it becomes the London Eyes. These are the policies of a serious contender.

LOL at Labour. There is going to be a constant barrage around why Labour got so badly spanked in Hartlepool but what on earth possessed them to put up a candidate who was a Remainer, had already lost a seat in December 2019, in a constituency that had, I believe, the highest support for Leave in 2016?
Starmer gifted Johnson an 80 seat majority in 2019. And now quite literally presenting him what should be an absolute rock-solid Labour seat? Is Starmer a double agent? And that question is not tounge in cheek either. Because this man has put his knee on Labours neck and ain't showing any sign of standing up anytime soon.

We could find no information on any of the PCC candidates in Horsham. Couple of spoilt ballot papers from my household ( something I have never done before) but how they expect you to vote for someone you know nothing about is a mystery

When Starmer was elected I got slated on here from some posters, for saying he was more Tory than a Tory, perhaps I was not far off the mark .

The selection process for the candidate is beyond bizarre. If I was a Labour supporter I would be asking some serious questions about just what the hell was going on when they went for this guy. The reality for Labour is that it NEEDS people who voted for Brexit to come back it. No ifs, no buts, just basic political common-sense. In a seat like Hartlepool the notion of putting forward anybody who voted Remain and then subsequently thought Labours second-referendum policy is beyond negligent. Their candidate should have been banned from stepping foot into the post-code, let alone heading the charge. His selection flies in the face of any kind of rational thinking. Starmer simply cannot be that stupid. I refuse to believe that he is but what other explanation is there? OK, wanting to engineer a policy that get rid of Corbyn in 2019, sort of works if you take a 'House of Cards' view of how politics works (which I do by the way). But then, when you have achieved your objective and are serious about turning things around? No. The only conclusion is that Starmer is as thick as pig s***? Would love to be convinced otherwise.

Obviously, people are impressed by lies deceit and fake patriotism. Throw in a line or two about foreigners then job done. The seeds for this were sown long before Starmer became leader of the Labour party.
