Actually sunny here for a change in the far West of Ireland. Was yesterday too. The Gardai have closed off all the beaches but people are walking round the barriers. They closed off all parking at places where people might gather. However, I go back to work next week. This area has had the highest Covid rate in Ireland recently, it was the lowest.
I'm going to get pissed up watching the rugby today. Can't wait for England Ireland.

Ah, that's more like it, some news from the EU. Good luck back at work. Bloody Covid - isn't it just bonkers.

We'll be watching the rugby in this house too. I'll be rooting for Wales to win. My wife was born there and I like a quiet life.

We had 20cm of snow yesterday. Hopefully that's it for winter and temperatures will rise above freezing today and will actually get up to 12° by Wednesday! Tropical stuff.

Why worry about TODAY when TOMORROW will be even worse.

Now look, I'm delighted to read the comments some of you have made about the area where I live. But.

I'm sure there are Holmesdalers claiming to be in places like Australia, Korea, China, Spain, US, even as far away as Scotland so I was, probably naively, hoping this thread might pick up some local gossip from places like that.

Nevertheless, when all this unpleasantness outside goes away, maybe one day we can meet up in one of the hostelries round here to mull over all things Palace.

Theres a few Lanzo boys on here.
One will get out of his pit eventually to gloat about the sun.

It's nice & sunny here in Alicante, only 18° atm coz the mountains behind us had about 22mm of snow beginning of week.

There is another HOLer close by( Benidorm) & there are at least 2 other Palace fans in the vicinity that I've met.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Hi Guys,
Well, had 5 perfect days of 25+ degrees in Mornington, oh bugger its started to rain today and down to 20.
Ah well, the roses need it.

However just up the road about 2000kms around Sydney. Colossal floods and rains. worse than a record created in 1961.

They showed vision of a complete house which was built on stumps, floating down the river. I've heard of moving house but that is ridiculous. Sorry for the poor owners.

An East Sussex village. Some people being more chatty and friendly with CV around. Others being fvck-wits with idiotic driving, no social distancing , etc etc.

A bit like most places

I disengage, I turn the page.
