When she mentions men, she's of course referring to 'White Men' I can't recall her demanding a curfew when swathes of Bangladeshi & pakistani men were being (rightly or wrongly) accused of sexual assault & possible rape against predominantly young white girls?

As long as they were all 'milked' first, humanity could survive (which wouldn't work the other way round)

This is a perfect opportunity for Extinction Rebellion and other activists, anyone who cares about the environment.

My complaint about these people is they disrupt the lives or ordinary folk whilst failing to hurt the people who make the decisions they are so upset about.

This landfill sounds like a nightmare why don't they go up there and protest they will have plenty of support from the locals and for once I think the public would be on their side.

I won't hold my breath they are too busy trying ban men or insisting that trans people get period products.

They won't go there because it won't annoy ordinary people!

If you want to be successful outside of mainstream politics then you focus on a single issue that is easy to understand and easy to fix.

For example you campaign to ban plastic bags, then you move onto plastic drink bottles and dig out Coca Cola. most people would agree with this see you are serious and responsible and will then listen. You also offer suitable alternatives not just ban this or that.

Of course for most of these protestors this is just plain boring they are like kids having a tantrum.

A very intelligent lefty friend explained to me that direct action was the only option as the electoral system in this country blocked them.

I then pointed out that we just had Brexit the greatest grass roots cross party peoples movement in decades.

Her real point of course was democracy is unfair because she and her mates don't get their way. At general elections the Green party is stuck around 7% of the vote that's why they prefer direct action they are not interested in building a voter base as UKIP did.

Green politics has very little effect on a local, and some might argue National scale.
Conducting environmentally sound practices had consumerism/profit as the primary driver, with Government policies hanging on the coattails.
Recycling metal cans became more profitable than excavating iron ore and bunging it in a furnace. Likewise with re-cycling bottles as opposed to putting sand in a furnace. (much less heat required).
Recycling paper cuts down on chemicals and bleaching agents and pulping when making from wood.
The cause of the mass development of the electric car is really down to declining stocks of oil in the world.
If you want a good summary of eco-politics, read The Lorax by Dr Seuss.
Green politics at local-scale is for individuals with a eco-centric moral compass to vote for an ego-centric politician.

Just my opinion

How long will it be before the Lithium required for the batteries goes the same way though?
