My first ever purchase involved me sitting with a mortgage broker who asked me what I earned as he filled in the form for me. When I told him he explained that wouldn't work. I asked how much I needed to earn and he told me an amount. We agreed to write that down and see what happened. No questions were asked and I bought the house and never looked back. The good old days!

Used to be much easier getting a mortgage being self employed than PAYE, complete opposite now. "It feels much better than it ever did, much more sensitive." John Wayne Bobbit
