We really should score against this lot, they’re letting in two a game on average. 2-0 to CP

I agree. No debating here that RLC, Gallagher and an emerging center back would constitute a tidy summer transfer window. Only concern here is that the Board won't be splashing about the 40M-50M necessary to bring those players in.

WBA had been letting in 2 goals a game but in their last 5 games they have only let in 2 goals in total.

It won't be pretty, and more to the point, they will take the initiative. Not because Roy will be outthought, or out managed by Allardyce, but simply because WBA need to go for the win in all their games to have any hope whatsoever, and we don't.

With Wilf and Schlupp back, I can see us winning 2-1.

I'd want JA in there, but leaving CB out is unfair given he's scoring.

I'm realistically going for a 3-1 Palace with Benteke getting all four goals!

Difficult to predict as who knows which Palace will appear. At least Wilf is back (if only others can use the space he provides) Looks like a 1-1.

Be interesting to see how Gallagher gets on as he is often mentioned as a possible midfielder for us.

Personally I'd bust the bank and get RLC in as a skilful and attacking midfielder is what we sorely need. Likely we will end up with Lunstrum unfortunately.

Mateta is the player to make runs into thespace

As normal I’m with Willo on the scoreline 0.1 However this is down to how Hodgson sets us up. I thought yesterday that he screwed it up at halftime by bringing on Zaha to play up front. We had just equalised and we needed to continue to protect the back four which didn’t happen with the substitution. I would like to have seen both Zaha and Schlup coming on though with Schlup playing in a middle midfield 3 with Zaha on the right and Townsend on the left. Benteke being the lone striker. Instead we pushed forward and shipped goals. Now if Hodgson plays as yesterday second half as he did before Zaha’s injury then we could have another Burnley result on our hands. I worry for Saturday now Zaha is back unless he is played in midfield/wing. We also have Eze who doesn’t look good defensively but has been better with Zaha out. Perhaps they are one luxury to much when they both play but I’m more concerned with Zaha playing in a front two which doesn’t help our defence which needs support from a stronger 5 midfield?

2-0 Palace. They need the win more than us and we'll hit them on the counter and then get a late goal as they chase the game.

WBA have only conceded 2 goals in their last 5 games and the 1 defeat during this spell has been by a single goal.

They are going to be resolute, we are not exactly prolific scorers and I envisage a scoreline of CPFC 0 WBA 1.

I can't find the relevant post, but I think you suggested a day or two ago that we would get 1 point from our next 4 games. Do you expect it to come from Everton or from Chelsea?

I'll go with a 1-1 draw. It took a high end team in form to put 4 past us on the weekend and that's not WBA.

I think the game will have some similarities to the game against Fulham but in this one we will sneak a win by the odd goal in three.

Mateta in his 15 mins on the pitch, you can see his movement is different class, any team with Eze, Wilf, Schlupp and Maleta is a class line up, two new Centre midfielders and at least one new Centre back and thats a good team

Maitland-Niles, Gallagher and Diagne could be a handful, but they are struggling to find the net. With Wilf and Schlupp back I will back us to win 2-0, but WBA definitely look a lot better in recent games so it won't be easy.
