That’s Brighton 45 shots to Palace’s 4

You forgot another stat.

Brighton's 2 goals to Palace's 3.

That IS embarrassing. For Brighton

Fair play he faced the camera though.
Many would send the reserve manager.

I sort of get your point. But, i'm not embarrassed. It could be argued Roy got it all tactically right as he'd done his homework. Brighton also had 26 shots against Villa and scored none of them ... so they have history in that department.
The embarrassment should be confined to them for not making anything of all their possession, and not just in the two games against us it seems.

Hoe many times have we had numerous chances on goal and lost ... quite a few. The lads showed grit and determination last night, so the weed had many chances to score shame that they are useless in front of goal which is not the first time for them. We needed 3 points and we got them it's not as if our 2 goals were dubious var shouts or own goals. I don't care if we smash and grab every game until the end of the season. Just makes it sweeter it was against the weed COYP

No it’s impressive not embarrassing, if it wasn’t for that spawny deflected goal at Selhurst Park in the 90 minute we would have taken all 6 points against Brighton.

As someone said on a different post, “ we totally outplayed them for 35 seconds” and that is all that matters, in that particular game

I'm embarrassed.

We won last night despite having an inferior team. Our team shouldn't be inferior.

Whether the score was a win, draw or defeat, nothing changed from before the match. We have _so_ much to do to update this squad.

This summer will be a huge gamble which could go either way.

Why should our team not be inferior?

If you don't invest, surely that is an inevitable consequence/

i agree, i was embarrassed too - we couldn't string 2 passes together for most of the game.

Yes we were inferior but we shouldn't be - almost all of those players are on £50k plus a week so should be able to pass and move etc.
We also need a tactic to attack. Eze was played more centrally in a no 10 position - he looked bemused and had no impact on the game. I thought that's where he played for QPR.

If we play the same tactics we will lose most games. We had loads of luck last night. Even Benteke's great goal was because he was merely lingering at the back post rather than making an attempt to attack the cross

It’s true Aunty Anne, the South coasters have spent 250 million more than us in the past 3 years. They were bringing on players and had a bench last night that I never knew existed.
