St.Georges walk used to be used a lot due to the empty units & classic 60s architecture. Yes it was used in Bandersnatch, as well as the 50p building outside East Croydon station (where the fictional games companies HQ was)

Black Mirror - Bandersnatch filmed in Croydon. And. and. damn there was an action movie I was watching a while back and there was a cafe scene in 'Turkey' which was in fact St George's Walk and it completely ruined the whole film for me as I couldn't get the fact it was in Croydon out of my head. Was a good film up until that point.

Do they still have market stalls there? I used to go swimming in the Scarbrook Road baths close by and my Mum was a waitress in the Blue Room restaurant at Kennards which was probably 3rd after Grants and Allders, but it had a great arcade running from North End to Drummond Road I think, which I remember wandering through many a time. Anyway, good video and pleased you shared it. Thanks for the memories.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
