Ah for the days when a Hol meet was a few beers and a good laugh in the Selhurst Arms.........

Having been born and bred in the heaf, I moved away in 1991 as did not want to bring up children in the area.

There's so many of us. Not only did I not want to bring up my family there, it is also expensive due to being London. So you have to pay top price for a crap house in an area you're likely to get burgled in. Whenever I go back, I genuinely feel like a foreigner. The only thing English about it is it's geography and history.

I don't understand the authorities being on the back foot over knife crime.

We have no gun crime due to quite severe penalties, 5 years for carrying and possession of them.

Why can't they simply apply this to carrying and possession of knives?

What is so difficult?

Sorry I must be racist
Were they white on white.
Equality in questions as well!
I think this might be the outside bet though,
I hope the blm rallies; if they are black victims by black perpetrators 'stick' to the covid rules whilst protesting!

Perhaps you can put me out of my ignorance. Is there currently any penalty at all for carrying a knife?

forget about questions of colour for a second.

For the people in the stabbings, What proportion of those people grew up in a house without a father living there ? and on benefits ?

80% of the stabbers ? 95% ?

Glasgow had a problem with poor kids stabbing each other to death. It was solved.

London has a problem with poor kids stabbing each other to death. It gets worse.

The difference is skin colour. As simple as that. In Glasgow, there was the political will to do something about it. In London, there is not.

Real, murderous, racism in action.

But this is boring now. Nothing is going to be done about it. Just a fact of life in the UK.

In this case, black lives truly do not matter as much as white ones. Still I am sure BLM will soon be on the case.

Actually I think it is an offence to carry a knife in a public place.

But we are immediately into what constitutes an illegal knife etc.

It is certainly low-profile and not a deterrent, I guess you would get a slap on the wrist at most.

Also, labour under Tony Blair had these people are anymore a very successful policy, tough on crime and its causes.

With all the cuts, police have no intelligence on where these people are, schools will expel them and they have nothing to do but roam the streets.
