Let them vote; the minute a leave majority is achieved, kick them straight out of Westminster- especially that anglophobic maggot Blackford.

Or better still, lead him to the Tower in chains.

He really is a smug, unpleasant man and to see the back of him would a great gift!
If the Scots want independence then let them have it.
They will go bust in just a few years - they are the biggest drain on the public coffers in the whole of the home nations.
They could not possibly support themselves but don't worry - the EU will let them in, land them lots of lovely lollie and make their economy even worse after which they will be begging to leave!

I am not at all politically well informed but I will be interested to see how this plays out in the coming months / years - its not difficult to see how the average Scot could be upset by the current political landscape & wanting more of a say in the countries future - I was genuinely surprised that in their last referendum they didnt vote to split because whenever I hear Scots talking about the UK all they do is complain about how hard done by they are with a healthy chunk of anti English thrown in - thanks to Badger for the original post - honestly if it was up to me I would let the Scots have another referendum, make their own choice & if its leave the UK then so be it, but make it clear to them that if they vote to leave there is no way back later / or put a number on it like not before 20 years.

Oh please, the SNP have been advocating independence since the 1970's even if we had stay in the EU they would still not stop. Besides I don't see why 5m people get to dictate to 62m people.

And have benefitted from Scottish Labour and Lib Dems struggling.

Because we are one country and majority voted to leave.
Anyway I don't want to re-run Brexit again, the point I was making is that whatever the rest of the UK did the SNP will continue to fight for independence.

That they pay over the odds for.

Personally I say if they want out, they have every right to leave.

Though let no one seriously suggest it's independence when they change from sucking on westminister's teat to Brussel's....the cheeky feckers even want to remain on our pound...It's fifty fifty that the EU would even have them.

It's a little ironic when you refer to 'little Englanders' when surely nationalists in Scotland are the same....just far smaller.

If the Scots want independence so be it I just worry that the SNP does not have a clear plan for managing the currency and joining the EU and also how they will manage the economy.

But it's their choice.
