No way for me. His assets seem to be: His liabilities: I don't really remember him getting forward well either. Seen him a couple of times since (Fulham 2 years ago and ManU a couple of times in the summer), and I'm still not impressed.

He can play Central defence or right back and also holding midfielder, so he's quite versatile. If he's cheap he'd be a decent squad player - and he's probably no worse than Dann or Sakho are currently. At least, he can still improve too.

I thought he looked good to start with then went off the boil, he seemed able enough just needed to improve his awareness by playing more - I like the young 'Kelly' idea.

I only remember him playing at right back. I thought Ferguson was supposed to be the long term solution for that position. However I agree that with the right coaching he could be a useful and younger addition to the squad. Not worth breaking the bank for though.

I believe, probably about 3 years ago, that he claimed that his best position was as a defensive midfielder.
