I think he will, he has a very good track record in these circumstances and he will have undoubtedly secured some decent financial backing for the January transfer window. This is the classic BFS formula where he just has to work for half the season but for the equivalent of a full years salary, with an additional substantial bonus for keeping them up. No pre-season to worry about and no undue pressure either because of the reality after such a poor start.
It wouldn't surprise me if he did, but I just don't rate their squad when compared to previous clubs he's managed. Take Pereira and Gallagher out of their team and they look very ordinary. When he came to us we had Zaha, Townsend, Cabaye, an in-form Bentenke, and at the back players like Dann and Delaney were rocks. We were really underperforming when he came in. That was a similar story at Sunderland and Everton where the previous managers were not getting the best out of their squads. I don't see so much potential in WBA's squad. Maybe they'll throw money at it and that might change things.

On the upside, SA taking the job, COULD, meen as he knows our squad(he did buy some), He may come in with offers for some of our plsyers that, basiczlly, we need to get rid of. Just saying

I reckon BFS will save them. He wouldn’t take the job if he thought he wouldn’t be backed with £££S in January. Bad news for relegation threatens sides. So why not give Bilic the money?

Agreed, always seemed like a decent chap. And he had to look at those horrendous away uniforms for his time there, they should give him a good severance for that. Daddyorc I don’t want to sound pedantic and I like us having a fan base across the “pond” but they are kits not uniforms.

Nice to see/hear SA will get a reported £1m bonus for keeping them up, sound familiar?

I like JT but his injury record is poor and if we get good money, maybe not so bad Good shout, I really like Tomkins too and he has been brilliant for us on the whole but his pace has now all but deserted him and injuries seem to be occurring more regularly. He’s just the sort of player WBA could do with to try and shore up their defence (if he stays fit and can avoid further injury). Let’s face it WBA will have promised SA some money to spend in January but he’s gonna have to spend it wisely and someone like a fit JT would be a shrewd signing and would leave them with the bulk of their transfer kitty still intact to be allocated elsewhere.
