We were quite hard up when I was a kid. One year I really wanted an Action Man Commando for Christmas. I was a little disappointed on Christmas morning to unwrap an empty box, until my Dad told me it was an Action Man Deserter. I was made up. None of my mates had that one.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

My Dad used to think it was hilarious to get almost what I wanted. Seeing his son wrestle with the 'that's really not what I wanted but how can I not be greatful for that?' was the highlight of his Christmas! So I got an Atari ST when everyone else had an Amiga. I wanted a gameboy so he thought it was hilarious to get a game gear. By the time the PS1 came out, I'd had him figured so asked for a Nintendo 64. In your face old man!
