Dont they eat at weekends.
Maybe mucky Ron's or KFC as a treat because
HMG stupid pay monday to friday and fell for the ruse.
As for PPE are you not at least a bit pleased that it probably saved thousands of lives of nhs workers and care home residents and staff.
Oh silly silly that's a positive thing for HMG.
Cant be doing that!!!
Starmer needs to shut up as well because one day he may have to make these kinds of decisions, the difference being he wont have 18 billion to spend as he would have spent it on votes like mayor khant.

They love wasting money - the whole model needs to be changed. When a dept or council remains within budget they need to be rewarded, not penalised with budget cuts.
That's the root of all of this - kind of spend or die. So if you get billions for PPE go on a spending spree. It's what everyone's used to. Who cares who's cheapest? Not their money.

What is tiny in comparison to the money wasted was the amount Marcus Rashford wanted for school meals over the holiday yet you had a problem with that for some reason.

I wonder why.

It is time for Boris to be taken to one side and told some home truths about how to run a country and how not too.

The constant question dodging and semantics in most Govt spokespersons answers are embarrassing to anyone who voted for them.

Unless things change there will be a record reduction in Tory seats at the next election and only a break up in Labour might save us.

I concur that BJ doesn't answer the questions put to him in PMQ's. He is perhaps the most evasive PM I've seen since PMQ was televised.

The procurement scandal of PPE needs to be addressed head-on. The trouble is, all the c-units in the HoC have their fingers in so many pies. They get paid a full-time wage, plus expenses, plus hiring their family as staff, and yet they have spare time for 'Consultancy Work' with big companies where they court Government contracts.

That's why there won't be an investigation. Because they all do it.

I disengage, I turn the page.

I must admit I struggle. What I don't get is the need for third parties? Surely you task civil servants with going direct to manufacteurs or wholesalers?

I struggle with huge aspects of all Government, at every level, procurement.

On a much smaller level I once saw a bill presented to a leaseholder of an ex-council property for over £8000 for double glazing. He spoke to the contractors actually doing the work who were being paid £1200. The difference in the two was quite staggering.

I think that the one big thing that’s come from this pandemic is the realisation that the Civil Service is not fit for purpose. Boris cannot be an expert at everything but should be able to rely on those who are being paid far more than their worth to properly advise him.

When all is said and done we will have a whole series of independent enquires chaired by the normal self serving cronies, coining hundreds of thousand of pounds to write reports that neither confirm or deny whether things were done fairly or not. Most of which will be ordered by Starmer and his mates.

I look forward to you taking this lax attitude to wasting public money on other matters such as immigration and social benefits

How anyone can defend this, says more about them than any right minded folk.

The most corrupt and quite possibly useless cabinet ever.

Is this the PPE that couldn't be used and thus was a total waste? Done properly it would have saved lives.
Couldn't make it up.
