Whoever killed those babies is probably suffering from the same delusion that Harold Shipman had. They are playing god with people's lives that how they "get off".

I've not read the details but one baby death should have prompted an investigation at her place of work, two babies then alarm bells should have been ringing, after three babies she definitely shouldn't have been at work. Didn’t she have any managers?

I seem to remember the usual 'lessons must be learned,we have to make sure this never happens again' platitudes after the Beverley Allitt case....... well it looks like they weren't 'cos it just did!

Just amazed her Brief applied for bail and was surprised when turned down. Baby/serial killers deserve the gallows

There are a lot of people rushing to judgement here but until the facts are known I think that's unwise. There are some unusual aspects which seem to me to urge caution. She has been interviewed several times and released without charge, even though there are a large number of incidents involved. That's odd. Nurses don't work unsupervised so if anything untoward was happening, you would expect it to have been picked up. Her being refused bail would have been as much for her own protection as anything else, as she no longer works as a nurse. So my gut feeling is that there is more here than what appears at face value. Before anyone jumps down my throat I am not making any excuses for anything. I am simply suggesting that we don't yet have the full picture.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |
