We've won two, lost two, one to a contentious penalty and to a currently unbeaten team and to another who've spent 10 times what we have. We're still top half couldn't play our CF against his parent club. If we were to sack Roy do you think Lewington would hang around. Don't forget we got Roy because we sacked De Boer after four weeks.

It always makes me fall off my chair laughing when I read the moaning on here about Roy's subs followed by ...Benteke.

Our biggest defeat in 27 PL games under TP was 3-0 up at Newcastle. Our points tally of 41 from those games was excellent, but in 13 of them (i.e. almost half) no more than one goal was scored.

Chelsea were just a lot better today. It happens in football and I'm quite optimistic about our squad and some of the prospects like Banks. The premiership future for Palace has always been about how we play when Zaha goes. The fact that we get beaten by good teams now and then is inevitable. The day when we have a massive quality stadium with massive attendances perhaps we can expect more....until then. Quite right. We can hope for better players but the right to expect a win against the likes of Chelsea is a long way off. We need to go to the next level for that sort of ambition and that cost a whole lot of money that will only come with a new stadium and new ownership.
