This is exactly why the Palace board don't respond to your inane rambling scouting recommendations.

I disagree with those 2. I don't know what injury record you speak of. He hasn't had a major injury for 6 years. He went out against Man City last year after 7 minutes but was fit after 2 weeks. I could ever classify Walcott as not giving a s***. Clearly we have different impressions. Wrong side of 30 yes (but not by much and a formerly top quality player will still be PL level for until 35) and big wages I agree with. But I feel this is what makes me different from everyone else. You see a player who looks finished and who wasn't allowed to shine by his managers at Arsenal and from last year and you think he will never be the same Walcott from the past. I see an opportunity to sign him for cheap (what's 5 million in today's market for an international with over 45 England national team matches and former child prodigy? ) and a player who can do great given chances. Have a read what Everton fans think; [Link]

I told them to look at a Goalie for Galway Utd some years back. He ended up as the Republic of Ireland's no 1: David Forde. I also asked if they would play a friendly here, as I sometimes go with my son.

Didn't realise how huge he was until I sat directly behind the Holmesdale goal v Villa in the cup, getting drenched.

The one thing I would say is that he is still really quick, which given the way we play he could actually fit in. But he's too old and his wages are too high, so there is no way this is happening. Everton have Bolasie, Iwobi and Bernard as well as Walcott, and none of them have really performed. I still think Iwobi is a player who could fit in at Palace, but only if they want to give him to us In return they can have Zaha for 70m.

The board probably don't listen to Mattteo because he is posting on a forum for football supporters. To succeed, he needs to send a letter to the club, with references, offering his services. Even then, it's a long road to travel before he gets any formal link. But with this particular swap, would anyone turn down Walcott +£98 million? I for one am good with that. But I am not good with Wilf for Walcott plus £5m. Thats why Mattteo needs to enumerate.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |
