Visited the Imperial War Museum in Manchester (Salford Keys near the beeb) this week and they had a 9/11 exhibit with huge steel girders from the North Tower that buckled when it fell. Very moving and worth a visit if any of you are in that neck of the woods.

It was one of those JFK moments wasn't it? Everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when this happened.. I doubt (hopefully) that we will ever see something on the scale of this again. I was in New York 3 years ago and went to the Police Station nearest to the Twin Towers site. Being a Met officer at the time they allowed me in and showed me around... They have lost nearly 30 officers since that day who have all died from complications arising from the soot they inhaled that day when the towers came down... Very sad..
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

No, i ment the footprints. Oh sorry mate, I haven't been but from what I've seen they have used the actual precise footprints of where the twin towers stood as part of the memorial. So when you are there paying your respects at ground zero you can see the imprint shape of where the towers were.

I have loads of flights but nowhere I really want to go to. You are spoilt with the montains, lakes and the black stuff mate, throw in the fresh air and you don"t need to go anywhere! I would just sit on the vouchers if you can- always use them for a trip to spain when things get better- even the U.S. On a different note, anyone think the saudis got off lightly for the 9/11 stuff? Considering how friendly we and the U.S are with them? Anyone remember mr trump doing the war dance with about 20 saudi princes, then saying beautiful, beautiful- google it if you missed it!
