I agree though. Why not give youth a chance? Especially if it is already on the books and has potential. Suggests that the reports of WeSTAM! leading the way to sign a player none of us have heard of, mean we never see him again. And signing a Brazilian always makes me excited. Andre Moritz Mark II anyone?

I agree with the strategy we need to start buying younger players with potential and sell on value. I know we need a striker now but one should not preclude the other. So it now comes down to price is he value for money? Last year? we bought that young Brazilian goalkeeper over on a loan with a view to buy. He didn't work out but it wouldn't have cost too much money that is the type of strategy we should be using. Edited by Badger11 (04 Sep 2020 8.24am)

Looks great on YouTube clips but this is just a rumour anyway, and let's see if anything comes of it

If a signing is made, with loan back agreed as suggested, Palace would have to wait a while before receiving any benefit.

Anybody noticed how Palace always offer too little to get their man, and ask for too much to sell their players? And wait till the last minute in hope of a brilliant coup? So nothing gets done, and another year goes past. Maybe worth learning from past mistakes, and watch how thew pros do it, such as Southampton and Wolves.

Latest I can see is Porto are signing him. Only fee I can see mentioned is 9m. Shame as with all the forwards we've been linked with this one was the best option for me. Good ability, good age, good price and good potential sell on value. Ah well onto the next one.

My guess is that something is going on and they are trying to sign him. Trouble is they are up against the City Group, who have very deep pockets they can't compete against

Seems delusional for me to believe we might successfully scout the next big thing from Brazil then actually pay for and sign them. Indicative of not much else going on and another dismal start to a campaign with no new signings
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
