Diseased chickens and meat imports from the US still producing quality and insightful content in my honest opinion.

You think a blue bottle never laid an egg on your food. All our food is affected in some way.
Our bodies combat it, by producing antibodies.
That is really the point. I appreciate your description.ive been called a lot worse.

I have purchased a miss-processed turkey (one leg ripped off during processing) but hope that the standard for our food will be only healthy animals going for slaughter, with nothing that has fallen on the floor being rescued (using chlorine) to maintain the slaughterhouse output quantity.

The thought of snails washed off lettuce when it is processed becoming another produce stream does worry me.

It's not moaning, I was stating an opinion. I think people of any political persuasion - left and right question the treatment of animals in modern factory farms.

KFC and my opinion is that I'm glad they admit to their failings. It's terrible that the animals are treated like this and it's good they are being transparent.

As for the other article it had a lot of interesting points:

94% of chickens sold in the UK are allowed by law to have an A4 sheet sized allowance of space in a shed.

Chickens are kept in constant dim light day and night to discourage rest and speed up growth.

Antibiotic use is routine resulting in 1/4 of chickens testing positive for antibiotic resistant e-coli.

50% of all antibiotics in the UK are given to farm animals.

Strange too, as the article points out that you can buy a chicken for less than a beer.

A lot of these facts are often kept hidden from the public. The problem being the cost - most people would rather not pay the extra money and will take a risk with cheaper food. Anyway thanks for sharing them - both interesting articles.

I wonder how the yanks will dress up their s***e food as I can't see the great British public willingly buying it.

You are what you eat as we can see with Trump.

Typical anti-French, 100 years war, Agincourt, Waterloo comment. Snails perfectly acceptable, just a bit chewy and taste like bogies. Which I used to enjoy in my nose picking days of yesteryear.
If you don't like my post, I surrender. I have the white flag just in case.

Fried chicken and gritts and gravy are the way forward. Although Brains Faggots do not travel well to the US. No idea why.
