Fair point - what I’m saying is that Relegation will be the trigger for him to re-evaluate his philosophy and improve. I’m convinced he’ll come back better for the experience. I’d like us to be the beneficiaries- I just think the timing could be spot on when Roy retires - we cant keep looking at one year at a time. If Howe is to move on anywhere he has to learn , how and when to shut the door to his own goal. Hodgson, has only lost to him once in six games winning three. So if he came to us would we be better off?

Have to agree with this. I'm tired of the 'plucky Bournemouth' narrative that gets spilled out by the media, when in fact they've spent £200+ million in the last few seasons and have billionaire owners. Buying players like Solanke (£20 mil), Ibe (£17 mil), (Rico, who? - £14 mil), Billing, awful player (£15 mil), Danjuma, again who? (£16 mil), Lerma (25 mil), Benike Afobe (11 Mil!!) Some awful signings in there. Some real successes in Ake and Brooks but that's a lot of fails. SNIP Bournemouth have a NET debt of £181m, £81m in transfer fees owed to other clubs. They face a minimum reduction in revenue of 50%. They need to have a fire sale to stay afloat, and lots of teams will be picking up Post Covid bargains. We should be one of them.
I am not a bot. No, seriously, I'm not. |
