Missing my boxing hugely and as I know there are some fight fans on here, thought I would add a new fantasy fight every couple of days to discuss. First off: Floyd Mayweather v Sugar Ray Leonard (at welterweight) Floyd finish undefeated, although it could be argued he often cherry picked opponents to meet them when they were slightly past their prime. Floyd was a master defensive fighter and could frustrate anyone. SRL appeared to have everything, lightning hands, footwork, tricks and intelligence, he also hand a handful of wins over all time greats who he did meet in their primes. Ray was also was a far more attack minded fighter and would often overwhelm fighters with his speed of punches. Obviously this is completely subjective, but for me SRL picks off FM to win on points in a close contest. What does everyone else think? More matchups to follow later in week I think Manny would have over whelmed mayweather 5 years before they actually fought, such a vicious little c*nt back then. I’d like to have seen usyk v Holyfield at cruiser weight

Exactly he was durable and at his peak couldn't be put down but he had not "killer" instinct, pardon the pun. It was said this was the result of Ulrich Regis dying from a brain haemorrhage shortly after fighting Bugner. Whilst this was very sad he still continued to box so for me he was never aggressive enough more like a talented punch bag. If I was unkind I would saying he conned the public because he was good enough not to get hurt but didn't want to hurt others, which is kinda the point of boxing. Anyway sport is about opinions I just never enjoyed his fights. Without doubt, he was a very frustrating fighter but he was around in the time of greats.
