I totally understand your line of argument. Apropos Lyle Taylor, I have seen him play 'Live' and the wonders of modern technology have enabled me to view video footage of some of his performances.Right-footed,works hard for the team, good movement and takes free kicks when a 'Wall' is formed. I see you're mixing things up

This from the Daily Fail, NO mention of Palace & seems the 'Clowns' are not happy
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

On a free with modest wages could be useful. Definitely a late bloomer but if Palace could take advantage of that it could work out, plus we know Hodgson is a fan of the older players coming in on a free. Rangers are after him too and I can see them offering more than Palace, plus they have the lure of European football which he'll probably really want.

The average salary at Rangers is around a quarter of that at Palace (even star striker Morelos is only on around £30k pw), so if it is purely about money I imagine he'd come here, but if it's about playing for a more high profile club and European football then I would think he'd choose Rangers.

This doesn't fit with the recent statement around lowering the average age of the squad and focusing on bringing in younger talent. From what I've seen of him, my opinion is that he's at the right level now just at the wrong club.

I don't expect to see 'Lyle Taylor' plying his trade for us. Edited by Willo (05 Jun 2020 10.15am)

Although I dont see him coming to us it was interesting in what he said yesterday. Think he has said that since he was 18 at Millwall he has dreamed of playing at the highest level and now this is his chance to do that and he doesnt want to risk jeopardising it. A little bit of reading between the lines could be read as a move to a premier club.

Heard from someone at work who knows him. Been offered £30,000 per week in Turkey, if Palace offer £25,000 per week he'll join us. We are his preferred choice as he lives in Ebbsfleet, and he wont have to move.

This works out at £1.3 Million a year for a 30 year old who is in his first season in English football above the third tier.

We don't know, and personally I would prefer Ollie Watkins, but I doubt that's going to happen. We pay Benteke at the moment circa £100,000 per week, for how many goals per season?. I think this transfer window all the top end earners could be gone.
