But yeah, shirts for me, I can take or leave now and I actually think the older, retro ones look cooler - however if you offered me. retro shirt when I was 15 I would have laughed in ya face.
The so called water resistance etc is just marketing The official replica shirts are priced at this because that is what the club chooses to price it at and while you have idiots still paying that price they will continue to sell it at these high prices they want big profits its the same with all the merch. It proves this when you see them suddenly do these so called sales or trying to clear them out and they drop to say £30 that is not because production cost decrease it's because the people making the profit cut their % Your post is confusing doesn't make much sense what do you mean knocked out over here? if you are on about making knock offs here well we have very strict rules against that plus the club gets 0 from that. But if you are on about making cheap shirts in this country again makes no sense nothing is cheap here labor costs more so does production this is why they use the likes of china very cheap costs on all fronts plus Palace don't make the shirts Puma do

I feel a shirt can be made, from alternative, standard material and look the same and cost way less. for instance, the fake shirts that sell for pittance abroad... I'm not saying the conditions or labour should be the same, but I doubt it's made from the same high quality material... there must be some middle ground where puma can replicate the match day shirt in a much cheaper, cost effective method, and then if they want too, also produce a player version for the higher costs.. I only say this as generally if I am not careful I snag my 50 quid shirt so I end up treating them like woven gold... a cheaper one, not so much. reading back your post, I think you just don't understand what I am saying and assuming I don't either... which is fine.
