Conspiracy theories seem to be a hobby for some people nowadays. It’s funny how people end up subscribing to so many. I mean, there may be some truth in some of them but it seems the longer you look into them the more you start believing. Personally I don’t give a s*** if they are true or not. I’d rather just get on with my life.

As I understand it the current financial model no longer works for them due to the cost of developing drugs, time to market and the significant cost of lawsuits. Both antidotes and Inoculations (which may be dubious) get around many of these problems and open up a huge new market based on the fear now of another pandemic. In the pharmaceutical industry the incentives are becoming all wrong to benefit the global population. By the way, when I say mandatory I don't mean people holding you down and forcing you, I mean making these mandatory for things like travelling anywhere, getting health insurance, perhaps even getting a job. I know some or proposing "chipping" people which is potentially the dark path of social credit via the back door. I can't see any of the above is more far fetched than the police chasing innocent people around the countryside with drones. Agreed.

I’d rather just get on with my life. On some level I think I can respect that. I mean, 'getting on with your life' is what you should be doing. Then again, what you are apathetic towards will always be related to personality and hence, to an extent, genes. The same as what you regard as important....For example, a homosexual forty years ago might have more interest in some aspects of politics than others....dependent upon personality. why don't we just have a new section called 'Stirling Talk' which only has arguments about masculinity and genetic determinism in a racial context? A load of old b*ll*x in other words.

If people have totally lost any trust in the media (understandably) then who can blame them for being paranoid and latching onto conspiracy theores? In the absence of truth and living in a low trust society what are you supposed to believe? People know they are being lied to on a daily basis.
